Did you know About Resveratrol and Prostate Cancer? One thing more.

Except for men the good news is that resveratrol and prostate trouble cures appear to be linked. Resveratrol is a substance found in grapes. Have you heard that red wine is good for you? One of the explanations is that it has Resveratrol in it, from the grapes.

Studies are showing a daily supplement of Resveratrol might be a defense against prostate trouble in men, according to the analysts at Houstons MD Anderson Cancer Center. And it appears that though Resveratrol may be a good form of attack against cancer cells, it doesn't attack healthy cells. It's been shown to stop the development of skin carcinoma in animals exposed to cancer inducing agents. It appeared to help forestall breast cancer, but had no effect on existing growths. As far as resveratrol prostate problems prevention goes, it's not likely that there'll be further research. At this time, the majority of the studies are targeting the anti-diabetic or blood-sugar lowering capacities of the compound. Some little studies are being conducting concerning its use as an anti-obesity drug, too. In animal studies, it's been shown to negate the effect of a high fat diet, though precisely how it does that is not clear, but it has some effect on the genes in the cells DNA. Green tea and grape seed extracts might be advantageous for that purpose.

Cancers of all types stem from free radicals, lingering inflammation and exposure to cancer agents. One more thing.
